The SESSION Craft Beer Festival was started as a finale to Ontario Craft Beer Week to bring the hard working craft breweries of Ontario and all the supporters together to celebrate craft beer. With a backdrop of burning cop cars and a torrential storm SESSION was born. True we had harsh conditions, but like true Canadians, we pushed on. We made the best of a rainy day and with great beer from across our nation, amazing food and great music; and we celebrated!  

​In year two with great help from our generous sponsors, notable guest speakers and die hard craft beer fans, we brought the likes of Beer legend Garrett Oliver, musicians Jason Collette, NQ Arbuckle and New Country Rehab. We were entertained by The Blue Mushroom Sirkus Sideshow (and we even had a flashmob!! ) Of course the big feature was the beer from Coast to Coast and from the USA that were available to sample all day long.
 
In year 3 we saw Spearhead take the prize for best of session again and for the best beer of session we saw Flying Monkeys take the prize. We are teaming them up to make a collaboration beer with Canada’s Brewery of the year – Central City! Look out for this beer as it will be distributed all over the country. It was the official beer of the
Canadian Brewing Awards in Victoria in 2013.
 
In 2013 at Wychwood Barns in Toronto we held our first Celebrity Collaboration Competition and saw some great pairings.  The LCBO came and delivered the prize to Beaus All Natural Brewing Company for the collaboration with Tom Green – The Tom Green Milk Stout.  
 
Griffin SESSION Toronto 2014, introduced the “Princess Pass” for those who wanted a separate entrance to the event with no lineups, private bathrooms, more tasting tokens, access to the princess area which more beer, food and couches for relaxing. 

2015 was another huge success @ Yonge & Dundas Square with Beau’s All Natural & K-OS winning Collaboration Nation with K-OS Golden Fox -To be released spring 2016!

This year, we are excited to bring back the Princess Pass and see some new celebrity collaborations for YOU to try and then VOTE 4 THE BEST!  STAY TUNED as we roll out exciting news about SESSION 2016!
